Frequently Asked Questions

Gym Clock is an alarm app that helps you wake up or hit a quick workout by requiring you to complete an exercise to turn off your alarm. The app uses your device's camera for real-time pose detection and rep counting.

Yes! All your workout data, statistics, and progress are stored locally on your device. We never collect, store, or transmit your personal information to our servers. The camera is only used for real-time pose detection during workouts - no video or images are recorded or stored.

Gym Clock requires camera access for real-time pose detection during workouts, notification permissions for alarm alerts, and critical alerts (on iOS 26+) so alarms can play even when your device is in silent mode.

Make sure you've granted notification permissions and critical alerts (on iOS 26+). Alarms require critical alerts permission to play even when your device is in silent mode. Check your device settings to ensure all necessary permissions are enabled. On older iOS versions (iOS 18 and below) ensure your ringer and notifications are on.

Ensure you have good lighting and the camera has a clear view of your body. Make sure you've granted camera permissions in your device settings. Try positioning your device so the camera can see your full body during exercises. Note that certain exercises require you to be sideways to the camera and NOT facing the camera (situps, lunges, etc.).

Yes! Gym Clock works completely offline. All features, including workouts, alarms, and progress tracking, function without an internet connection.
